MSc Student

Naomie Herpin-Saunier is a MSc student at the Institut de Biologie Intégrative et des Systèmes at Université Laval. She obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia, where she discovered a fascination for nature and conservation in BC’s magnificent forests. Naomie has been a part of the CoAdaptree project since January 2019 and her research focuses on the Swiss needlecast epidemic, which affects Douglas-fir trees in BC and around the world. Her objective is to develop statistical models identifying tree, site, and climate variables associated with disease severity, and subsequently forecast disease distribution in various climate change scenarios.
