Dothistroma Needle Blight: Host-pathogen interactions influenced by climate

Barbara Wong is a PhD student at the Institut de Biologie Intégrative et des Systèmes (IBIS), Université Laval. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Forestry and her Master of Science at the University of British Columbia. Barbara joined the CoAdaptree team in September 2017 and her research focuses on the study of the pathogen, Dothistroma needle blight, affecting pine trees across the world. Her aim is to investigate climate and host adaptations in the pathogen across latitudinal and altitudinal gradients. She will also use models to link climate with disease occurrences, ultimately projecting future pathogen distribution in changing climate scenarios.
